Rochu control units for soft grippers

A Rochu control unit sets the pressure and vacuum that open and close the soft gripper, and takes its commands from the robot or PLC. Ausweg helps you pick the right unit and wires it into your cell.

The range at a glance

Active or passive: how to choose

  • Active units (ACU2) have a built-in air source, so the gripper runs without a compressed-air line.
  • Passive units (PCU2, iPCU2) and the micro unit (LCU-H) work from your plant's compressed-air supply.
  • For robot or PLC integration, check the control modes: ACU2, PCU2 and iPCU2 take I/O signals, and ACU2 and PCU2 also support Modbus.

FAQ

Still unsure? Ask an engineer.

What is the difference between an active and a passive Rochu control unit?

An active unit such as the ACU2 has its own air source built in. A passive unit such as the PCU2 or iPCU2 regulates air from your compressed-air supply. Both drive all Rochu beaks and fingers.

Can a Rochu control unit be controlled from a robot or PLC?

Yes. The ACU2, PCU2 and iPCU2 accept I/O signals from a robot or PLC. The ACU2 and PCU2 also support Modbus, and the ACU2 accepts an analog signal.

Which unit suits a compact cell?

The iPCU2 and the LCU-H micro unit are the smallest. Both mount on a DIN rail, and the LCU-H can also be fixed by plane or flange holes.
