How does a Rochu soft gripper hold a part?

The soft fingers or beaks are driven by air. They open under pressure and close under vacuum, wrapping around the part like an octopus tentacle, so the grip adapts to the shape without marking it.

What is the difference between soft beaks and finger modules?

Soft beaks (unicuspid to quadricuspid) are compact tips for small parts. Finger modules [FM] are larger soft fingers that are combined on a mounting plate into a gripper for bigger or heavier parts.

Which control unit do Rochu grippers need?

Every Rochu gripper is driven by a Rochu control unit, which sets the working pressure and vacuum. See the Rochu control units page to choose between active and passive units.
